Consistency

November 17, 2011

Losing never feels good, but if there is any bright side to be found in our loss to the 49ers, it is that the Giants with their gutsy play and never say die attitude have proven that this team is for real.  Unfortunately for us so are the San Francisco 49ers, they simply played better than we did.

And perhaps another 4th quarter comeback was too much to ask for.  Perhaps converting on 4th down 3 times in one drive was too much to ask for. But this team is good and should be able to play more consistently and that’s not too much to ask for.

My friend (an Eagles fan) wants to see Sunday night’s game at a bar. As a Patriots fan, who should I root for? Maybe I’ll just root for a good old tie.

A little OT here, but what do you think of Booby Valentine as the Red Sox skipper? He did invent the wrap sandwich ya know.

That’s a dilemma. If you weren’t a Pats fan, it’s easy, go for the Giants because no one wants to see the Eagles win, but having had to root for the Patriots before when I didn’t really want to, I know it’s not easy or fun so I say go for the tie and hopefully Vick knows football games can end in a tie.

As for Bobby Valentine, he’s certainly the most interesting choice and he won’t let management push him around, which is good. If he wants the job, I bet they’ll give it to him.
